Power restored in northwest Spokane's Indian Trail area
SPOKANE, Wash. - June 17, 2026: Due to a change in weather, high-fire-risk conditions have decreased in the area of northwest Spokane in Indian Trail. Power should be back on for those approximately 1,800 customers impacted by the Public Safety power Shutoff. If customers involved in the proactive de-energization notice their power has not been restored, please call Avista.
Weather conditions can continue to change, and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) could again impact customers' service. If that happens, Avista will provide updates as more information becomes available.
"On behalf of Avista, I want to sincerely thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this Public Safety Power Shutoff event," said Heather Rosentrater, president and CEO of Avista. "We are grateful that shifting weather conditions allowed us to restore power safely. We do not take shutting off power lightly, it's a last-resort effort to preserve public safety. Your readiness and cooperation highlight the resilience that defines our communities. We're proud to serve you."
