Brown County United Way (BCUW), in partnership with more than 20 nonprofit agencies, today celebrated a major milestone in its HubCAP (Community Access Partnership) initiative with the launch of a new mobile classroom. The vehicle-designed to deliver on-the-go education, training, and support-was unveiled during a press event held at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC).
"Access to services shouldn't be a challenge - it should be a right," said Robyn Davis, President & CEO of Brown County United Way. "The addition of a mobile classroom brings us one step closer to removing barriers and ensuring that every person has a real opportunity to thrive.
The HubCAP initiative was created to meet people where they are-bringing critical services into neighborhoods, job sites, and community events. With the addition of the mobile classroom, the HubCAP fleet now offers:
As the host site for the launch and a proud Premier Partner, NWTC is honored to support this next chapter of HubCAP. The College's longstanding collaboration with BCUW is grounded in a shared mission: to build stronger, more connected pathways to education, employment, and stability-accessible to everyone.
"At NWTC, our mission is rooted in access-to education, opportunity, and economic mobility," said Dr. Kristen Raney, President of NWTC. "Yet for many, access is limited by transportation, childcare responsibilities, or simply a lack of nearby resources. HubCAP's mobile classroom is a powerful, community-driven solution to meet people where they are and provide critical services in ways that are immediate, visible, and deeply responsive."
Together, Brown County United Way and its partners-including NWTC-are reimagining how essential services are delivered across our communities. The mobile classroom is more than a vehicle; it's a symbol of what's possible when access, opportunity, and collaboration drive the work forward.
