The Observer Mission's Work in the Republic of Belarus
On 26 January 2025, the main election day of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Observer Mission from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was monitoring the voting process.

The mission, led by SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev and comprised of 17 representatives from seven SCO member states (the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan) and the SCO Secretariat, visited 109 polling stations located in Minsk, Brest, Grodno, and Mogilev.

During the observation, members of the SCO Mission talked with chairpersons and members of local election commissions, national and international observers, and media representatives. The Mission members were also present at the opening and closing of polling stations and the counting of votes.
