Hikvision Earns EN 18031 Certification for Multiple Products, Strengthening Commitment to Cybersecurity
July 17, 2025

July 17, 2025 - Multiple Hikvision products have achieved certification under the EN 18031 series of cybersecurity standards, following independent assessments conducted by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), a Swiss multinational and globally recognized leader in testing, inspection, and certification services. These certifications are also recognized by an EU Notified Body, underscoring Hikvision's commitment to cybersecurity compliance.

EN 18031 defines core security and quality requirements for wireless and IoT devices, including Wi-Fi/4G cameras, Bluetooth headsets, and in-vehicle connectivity components. As of January 2025, compliance with EN 18031 becomes mandatory under the EU's CE Radio Equipment Directive (CE-RED), making it a critical requirement for accessing the EU market.

In addition to meeting EN 18031 requirements, Hikvision works closely with multiple leading testing and certification organizations to stay aligned with international cybersecurity trends, forthcoming regulations, and best practices for secure product development and deployment.

Hikvision continues to enhance its product security architecture in response to evolving standards and emerging threats. This approach applies layered protection across five key dimensions: device security, network security, application security, data security, and operational security. By integrating these measures at every stage of design, production, and maintenance, Hikvision aims to ensure the integrity and resilience of its products.

The company remains committed to strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in its global markets, including but not limited to the EU's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); the UK's Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act; Singapore's Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS); and Japan's JC-STAR IoT cybersecurity labelling program.

Through continuous innovation in cybersecurity and data protection, active industry collaboration, and the promotion of security awareness, Hikvision is committed to building a secure, resilient, and trustworthy digital ecosystem.
