An upcoming free legal aid clinic will offer assistance with wills and advance planning documents.

From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, lawyers from Faegre Drinker will be at Eskenazi Health to help patients with:

  • Creating a will, which allows individuals to plan for their family's future
  • Appointing a financial power of attorney
  • Appointing a health care representative

Advance planning allows individuals to document their preferences for future care in the form of a legal document. It also gives the person the opportunity to choose someone to make medical and financial decisions if they become unable to do so. Assistance in preparing a last will and testament will also be available.

The clinic, which is presented by the Eskenazi Health Medical-Legal Partnership and Faegre Drinker, will take place in the Faegre Drinker Conference Room, located on the first floor of the Sandra Eskenazi Outpatient Care Center on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus. Advanced appointment scheduling for patients is encouraged; however, walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment, please call Eskenazi Health Legal Affairs at 317.880.4814.

This event is for Eskenazi Health patients only and will only assist with advance care planning. This is a brief advice clinic.
