Westbound SR-54 Connector to Southbound I-805 and Telegraph Canyon Road Closed Evenings July 12 – 16

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the westbound State Route 54 (SR-54) to southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) connector and eastbound and westbound Telegraph Canyon Road from Nacion Avenue to Halecrest Drive during the evenings of Monday, July 12 to Thursday, July 16 from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for construction operations.

SR-54 motorists may continue west on SR-54, exit at Highland Avenue, turn left to the eastbound SR-54 on-ramp, and then connect to southbound I-805.

Motorists traveling eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road will be detoured to turn right on Melrose Avenue, left on Palomar Street, then left on Oleander Avenue to Telegraph Canyon Road.

Motorists traveling westbound on Telegraph Canyon Road will be detoured to turn left onto Oleander Avenue, right onto Palomar Street, then right onto Melrose Avenue, and finally right onto Telegraph Canyon Road.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
