All News

Dairyland Power Cooperative, in collaboration with Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC), teamed up to donate $2,000 to Camp Nawakwa, otherwise known as, Our Nawakwa. The donation, in addition to a full day of volunteer work at the camp, demonstrates the cooperatives' ongoing commitment to cooperative principle #7, Concern for Community.

The $1,000 donation from CVEC and $1,000 matching donation from Dairyland through the Cooperative Contributions Program, will be used to support maintenance and improvements at the camp as they work to restore aging buildings, giving new life to the 90-year-old historic site.

"At Dairyland, we are deeply committed to serving the needs of our members and the communities we call home," said Dairyland President & CEO Brent Ridge. "We are proud to support Our Nawakwa and their dedication to building community through leadership, education and wellness."

Through the Cooperative Contributions Program, Dairyland and its member cooperatives continuously strive to make a positive impact in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and community development.

"Co-ops were built to meet community needs and we see that as extending far beyond just delivering electricity," stated Russ Falkenberg, President/CEO of Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative. "Whether we're supporting local schools, sponsoring youth programs, partnering with volunteer organizations, or bringing fiber-fast internet to rural areas, we are always looking for ways to improve the quality of life and power progress in the places we serve."
