Kolomechuk Nets Gamewinner, Women's Lacrosse Stuns New Haven, 15-14

Garden City, N.Y. - gamewinner in overtime put the top-seeded Adelphi University women's lacrosse team over the fourth-seeded University of New Haven, 15-14, on Saturday, in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

The victory puts the Panthers (16-3) back in the NCAA quarterfinal round for the second consecutive season and concludes the Division II era for the Chargers. New Haven announced its elevation to Division I on Tuesday, ahead of the tournament, as they were invited to be a member of the Northeast Conference.
