PHOTOS: Sen. Schiff Tours Long Beach Housing Development with Mayor Rex Richardson

Long Beach, CA - In case you missed it, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson toured Century Villages at Cabrillo, an affordable housing community that serves families, veterans, and individuals with special needs.

During the tour, Schiff discussed his ongoing efforts to build more affordable housing and address homelessness.

Schiff introduced landmark legislation, the Housing BOOM Act, in December 2025 to help address the root causes of housing affordability, including the lack of supply, rising rents, and increasingly out of reach pathways to homeownership for Americans. Schiff's bill expands housing supply, addresses homelessness, strengthens tenant support, and promotes fair housing. Mayor Richardson endorsed the Senator's bill.
