Citizen Spotlight: PCHS Security Staff

I would like to recognize the Pekin Community High School Security Staff for my next Citizen Spotlight feature. Three security staff members - Jared Dowell, Jill Stecken, and Kevin Dobbelaire - were recently awarded Certificates of Recognition from the PCHS Board of Education for their exemplary work on behalf of the students and staff at the school.

Here's what the security staff's nominator had to say about their impact at PCHS: "We are very lucky to have a Security Team at Pekin Community High School made up of strong, student-centered professionals.

"Our team made up of Jared Dowell, Kevin Dobbelaire, and Jill Stecken are committed to keeping the halls of PCHS safe. Their presence in our halls and at the myriad of activities our high school hosts make them very recognizable faces with our staff, our students, and our community in general.

"In coordination with our Deans, our other student supervisors and our building-level administration, their focus is on student and school safety. They are the first ones to respond to anything that may be happening and are quick to assist anyone in need. Pekin High School is lucky to have them!"

I am proud to recognize Jared, Kevin, and Jill for your hard work and continued dedication to the students and staff at PCHS. It's an honor to spotlight your efforts, and I wish you and everyone at PCHS a wonderful holiday season and enjoy the rest of your school year!
