Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission

The inaugural round of Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission (BJC) was held in Islamabad on 16-17 September 2026. The meeting marked the formal launch of the Commission, as envisaged in the 2013 China-Pakistan Agreement on Boundary Management System.
The Pakistan delegation was led by Mr. Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Director General (China), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Li Ya, Deputy Director General of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Senior representatives from various Ministries and Departments participated from both sides, including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Interior, Commerce, Communication and relevant Customs, Survey and other boundary management authorities.
