Tampa, FL. (July 12, 2025) - Tampa Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 1700 block of East 7th Avenue.
Just before 3:00am, officers directing traffic on 7th Avenue in Ybor heard a shot fired and immediately responded. They located an adult male who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital where his condition is currently listed as stable.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and adult male suspect, who are known to each other, were in an altercation prior to the shooting. There is no threat to the community.
Investigators are reviewing available video related to the incident and following strong leads in this case.
