Anne Arundel County Public Library Relocating Administrative Offices to Aviation Business Park

Library signs lease with St. John Properties at 6960 Aviation Boulevard and intends to move approximately 85 employees to Glen Burnie business community in Q1 2027

BALTIMORE, MD - The Anne Arundel County Public Library has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 30,613 square feet of space at Aviation Business Park, and will relocate its administrative offices to Glen Burnie in Q1 2027. Approximately 85 employees will be moved from the library's space in Annapolis to 6960 Aviation Boulevard, a 30,613 square foot single-story office building. Lacey Johansson, Vice President of Leasing for St. John Properties represented the landlord, and MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services' David McClatchy and Trish Farrell handled site selection and lease negotiations on behalf of the tenant.

The new space will function as Anne Arundel County Public Library's administrative headquarters and will house their finance, human resources, marketing, maintenance and delivery, and executive teams. Established in 1921, the library is responsible for all operations and programming for 16 public library branches situated across Anne Arundel County with a mission to build stronger communities.

Aviation Business Park, located adjacent to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, consists of two single-story office buildings and one flex/R&D building totaling over 120,600 square feet of commercial space. St. John Properties acquired the property in 2023 and subsequently converted 6958 Aviation Boulevard from a single-story office building into a flex/R&D facility. Improvements included the installation of drive-in doors and modifications to the parking area to accommodate loading requirements. These upgrades improved the buildings functionality and made it better suited to serve the types of users driving demand in the Glen Burnie submarket.
