WHAT: The September 11th Worker Protection Task Force will convene in New York City and Albany. The Task Force considers the long-term health, disability, and compensation needs of individuals who participated in rescue, recovery, or clean-up operations related to the September 11th attacks. The Task Force may analyze health data, including the impacts of exposure, and identify federal funding sources to support disability benefits. It may also review disability claims' processing times and program coverage, promote alignment between World Trade Center-related benefit programs at the state and federal levels, and develop methods to identify all eligible professional and volunteer participants to ensure appropriate coverage and support. The meeting is open to the public in person or via livestream.
