Planned Parenthood Brings "No Matter What" Pop-Up Art Installation to New York City, Immersing Visitors in the Reality of Attacks on Reproductive Care

For Immediate Release: June 12, 2026

Immersive, two-day public event opens June 12-13, spotlighting the real-world, patient harms of the Trump administration's "defunding" of Planned Parenthood

NEW YORK - Today, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) opened the doors to an immersive art installation in New York City - No Matter What: A Pop-Up by Planned Parenthood. The two-day immersive experience, open from June 12-13, comes as the nation marks nearly four years since the Supreme Court ripped away the constitutional right to abortion in its Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision, and ignited relentless political attacks on reproductive health care.

No Matter What guides visitors through a series of profound sensory experiences that ground them in the care Planned Parenthood health centers provide. The installation also educates the public on the real-life devastation brought on by the Trump administration's "defunding" of Planned Parenthood. Together with poignant voices of patient storytellers, No Matter What amplifies the need for all Americans to fight for freedom and ensure our bodies remain our own.

"We have watched lawmakers methodically chip away at people's ability to make their own health care decisions - to devastating effect for people across the country," said Alexis McGill Johnson, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. "No Matter What is a space to bear witness to the real harm being done to real people, and to remember that we are not powerless. Planned Parenthood has been fighting for over 100 years, and we are not stopping now. We invite everyone to come, to see, to feel the stakes of this moment, and to join us in this fight."

The Trump administration's "defund" provision is an effort to shut down Planned Parenthood and block patients from using Medicaid insurance at Planned Parenthood health centers. Since it was signed into law last summer, more than two dozen Planned Parenthood health centers have been forced to close, and tens of thousands of patients can no longer access essential services-including birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and other lifesaving care. Communities across the country, especially in rural and underserved areas, are facing a deepening health care crisis as a result.

No Matter What is part of Planned Parenthood's fight against political attacks on reproductive and sexual health care in post-Roe America: ensuring that health centers can provide patients care in every community, and mobilizing values-aligned supporters to take action.
