The City of Alexandria invites the community to a Town Hall on the Potomac Interceptor collapse and spill and its impacts on the river and the City's waterfront at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 in the Lee Center Auditorium (1108 Jefferson St.). Attendees can also participate online via Zoom.
The town hall will provide a comprehensive update on the Potomac Interceptor response, current system status, and next steps in emergency repair and long-term rehabilitation efforts. DC Waterand the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality(VDEQ) officials will answer your questionsabout the spill and its impacts.
To allow panelists time to respond to as many questions as possible, please submit questions in advancethrough the registration form. Online questions must be submitted by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18.
Attendees will have a chance to ask questions via QR Code in person at the event or virtually through Zoom.
For those unable to attend in person or virtually, a recording will be made available after the event and posted on the City's YouTube channel.
