Macon-Bibb County...Bibb County Bass Road Bridge over Norfolk Southern 180-Day Road Closure and Detour
On Monday, February 17th Bass Road (CR 742) from the intersection of Rivoli Drive to Forsyth Road(U.S. 41) will be closed to thru traffic for a duration of 180 days (6 months) to demolish and reconstruct the bridge and approaches over Norfolk Southern Railroad. Residents who live within the road closure will still have access; however, there will be no access to cross the bridge, and drivers will be required to enter on the side of the closure where they live. The detour in place will direct traffic onto Rivoli Drive and Forsyth Road to circumvent the Bass Road closure
