Tarleton State Baseball heads to Riverside for three-game series against California Baptist

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Tarleton State Baseball (20-26, 8-7 WAC) looks to make up for their mid-week loss in a three-game series against California Baptist (23-22, 6-9 WAC) from Friday to Sunday.

The Texans will face the Lancers for the first time since defeating them for the WAC Championship last May, when they became the first baseball program to win a conference tournament during NCAA Division I reclassification.

SERIES HISTORY:

• This will be the fifth all-time series between the Texans and the Lancers.
• California Baptist holds an 8-5 all-time record against the Purple and White heading into this weekend.
• During their last meeting in Mesa, Arizona on 5/25/24, Tarleton State won 9-1 to win the WAC Championship.
• This will be the first series played in Riverside since April 2023 where the Texans won 2-1.
• Three Texans had three hits against the Lancers on 5/25/24, with Hunter Smith being the only returner for this series.
