At the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, President of Finland H.E. Dr. Alexander Stubb will pay a State Visit to India from 4-7 March 2026. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, senior officials and business leaders. President Stubb will be the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the 11th Raisina Dialogue, 2026 in New Delhi. This will be the first visit of President Stubb to India in his present capacity.
2. During the visit, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and President Alexander Stubb will hold discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum of areas. They will also exchange perspectives on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in multilateral fora. Prime Minister will host a lunch in the honour of the visiting dignitary.
3. President Stubb will meet Hon'ble Rashtrapathiji Smt. Droupadi Murmu. Hon'ble Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan and Hon'ble External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar shall call on President Stubb.
4. President Stubb will thereafter visit Mumbai where he will meet the Hon'ble Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He will interact with Indian business leaders and attend an India-Finland business event. He will also address students at the University of Mumbai.
5. India and Finland share warm, friendly and multi-faceted relations, rooted in shared democratic values. Finland is a valued partner for India in the European Union and the Nordic region. The visit of President Stubb, following the recent visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland H.E. Petteri Orpo to India for the AI Impact Summit in February 2026, reflects the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors and to deepen people-to-people linkages.
