Petroperú warns of acts of violence at Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline

In the early hours of Tuesday, April 1, a group of approximately 100 people illegally entered the facilities of Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), deliberately shutting down the electric generator, causing a temporary suspension of operations.

Currently, those involved remain outside the station, posing a continuous risk to operations and the safety of workers. Therefore, the company calls on the competent authorities to defuse these types of criminal acts that have been occurring against the company's facilities and personnel working at the ONP.

Petroperú condemns these acts of violence, which endanger the safety of personnel and jeopardize the infrastructure of the ONP, declared a Critical National Asset and essential for the country's energy development.

The company reaffirms its commitment to constructive dialogue, respect for the law, and the sustainable development of ONP operations. It also reiterates that acts of force are not legitimate mechanisms for promoting good relations.
