Apply to rent a slip at the Berkeley Marina. Come tour the marina and celebrate the Aug. 29 reopening of two new docks.
Boaters looking for convenient access to San Francisco Bay can rent a slip at the increasingly modernized Berkeley Marina.
Monthly slip holders have access to utilities, parking, restaurants, nearby lodging and other features tied to the Bay Area's largest marina. Recent upgrades also improved ease of use while increasing dependability.
The D & E docks have been completely revamped with new concrete docks, utilities, ADA improvements, and upgraded infrastructure designed to serve boaters for decades to come.
Prospective boaters and others can see the multimillion-dollar improvements firsthand on August 29. Take a guided tour of the new docks, peek inside boats, explore boater services, and learn about slip rentals.

Boaters and people of all ages can come tour the new D & E Docks on August 29. We'll have Bay-themed activities for kids, and everyone can discover new ways to enjoy our waterfront.

The Kids Zone will have games as well as Bay-inspired arts and crafts. Everyone can nosh on light snacks. You'll also witness the ribbon-cutting for the completed D & E Dock replacement and marina cleaning projects.
The D & E Dock project replaced old marina structures and made the area easier to access. It included:
Visitors to the event can park for free in the D & E parking lot or take AC Transit Line 51B to the University Avenue and Marina Boulevard stop, which is about 0.3 miles from the event.

Monthly slip holders have direct access to the San Francisco Bay from the Bay Area's largest public marinas. Slips are available for a range of vessel sizes. Dry storage is available for eligible boats.
Contact the Marina Office to confirm slip availability and begin the application process. A limited number of live-aboard berths are available through a waitlist, and guest boaters can tie up free for up to four hours Monday through Saturday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
