Novant Health expands specialized menopause care with new Charlotte clinic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Novant Health is expanding access to specialized midlife women's health services with the opening of Novant Health Pelvic Health and Menopause Care, a new clinic designed to help women navigate the physical, emotional and hormonal changes associated with perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.

Located in Southpark, the clinic builds on the success of Novant Health's Virtual Menopause Wellness Clinic, bringing the convenience and accessibility of virtual specialty care into a dedicated in-person setting. The clinic complements routine OB/GYN services by offering focused expertise for women seeking individualized guidance and treatment during midlife.

"Women deserve to feel heard, supported and empowered when navigating the changes that come with menopause," said Dr. Lewis Lipscomb, physician in chief for Novant Health's Women's and Children's Institute. "By expanding our virtual menopause program into an in-person clinic, we're creating another way for women to access specialized care, have meaningful conversations about their health and develop personalized plans that support their well-being through every stage of midlife."

The clinic's menopause-trained specialists and advanced practice providers offer a range of services tailored to each patient's needs, including menopause symptom management, hormone replacement therapy and nonhormonal treatment options. Additional services address sexual health, weight management, sleep, mood and cognitive health, as well as preventive strategies to support long-term wellness.

While menopause impacts many aspects of a woman's health and quality of life, symptoms and treatment needs vary widely.
