The Santa Ana Public Library has officially opened its first permanent outdoor library in the City at Jerome Park! Completed in August 2025, the new Outdoor Library redefines what a library can be, bringing books, technology, and community together under the open sky.
This innovative library space includes all the essentials of a traditional branch and more. The space is designed to make learning, connection, and creativity accessible to everyone. Visitors can explore a fully enclosed self-service "Mini Library" kiosk, stocked with nearly 400 items that you can return to the kiosk or any SAPL location. The library is open and ready for you to find your next great read!
The library also features comfortable outdoor seating, public Wi-Fi, and new program areas for activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, and senior programs. With its drought-tolerant landscaping and inviting design, it's the perfect spot to relax, learn, and connect with neighbors.
The Outdoor Library at Jerome Park is more than a new space - it's a new way to experience your library. Bring a book, your laptop, or simply your curiosity, and make this space your own.
