CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 17, 2026) - Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) announced the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for high school students across South Carolina's 1st Congressional District. This annual nationwide competition, sponsored by Members of Congress, gives talented young artists the chance to showcase their work on a national stage.
This contest is open to all high school students in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District. The first-place winner will have their piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year and will be invited to Washington, D.C. for a special reception recognizing winners from across the country.
"Our district is full of incredibly talented young people, and this competition gives them a chance to showcase their skills on a national stage," said Congresswoman Mace."We're excited to see the creativity and talent our students bring to this competition, and we encourage every high school artist in the 1st District to submit their work."
Artwork must be the student's own original work and should capture aspects of life in South Carolina's 1st District. All artwork must be submitted by March 30th, 2026 on our website HERE.
