A motorcyclist has died following Sunday's 11:30 p.m. high-speed crash on I-40 West near White Bridge Pike. The preliminary investigation indicates a BMW motorcycle was traveling westbound when it is believed to have entered a high-speed wobble and abruptly hit the brakes, causing the motorcyclist to become separated from the BMW.
The 19-year-old received his motorcycle license on Thursday. He died at the scene. Efforts are underway to notify his family.
There were no signs of impairment at the scene.
