For the third consecutive year, TU/e's bachelor's program Industrial Design has emerged as the best in the Netherlands in the Keuzegids (Study Choice guide). Lin-Lin Chen, dean of Industrial Design (ID), is proud of this ranking: "We are very happy that students appreciate our educational program."

Dean Lin-Lin Chen continues: "Being ranked number one for three years in a row makes us proud. I would like to thank our teaching and support staff for their hard work and dedication. They make this possible!" Program director Lu Yuan shares Dean Chen's enthusiasm about this achievement by their department: "This recognition inspires us to continue improving our educational program."

Freedom

Second-year bachelor's student Bart Idsinga explains what he likes most about the ID program in Eindhoven: "I like the freedom I get to develop myself in the direction I want.

Not only in choice of the electives, but also in the variety in projects I can choose from. The professors and coaches are approachable and always willing to help you, but you can also have a nice chat with them. The small scale of the program contributes to this."

Vision and passion

Savanne Noijons, a fourth-year bachelor's student, is doing a board year at study association Lucid. "This study program demands a high degree of self-reliance, but you gain a lot from it. We are encouraged to develop our own vision and follow our passion.

In my bachelor's graduation project, everything I learned came together. I loved making all the design decisions myself. I know I am a designer."
