The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has named Jeremy M. Meltzer as vice president, chief of staff and strategic initiatives.
Meltzer, who has been serving as chief of staff for President and Chief Executive Officer Jack Potter, is a veteran member of the Airports Authority management team. Since joining the Authority in 2003, he has served in several leadership positions, including acting vice president for Strategy and Operational Performance, manager of Airport Administration at Reagan National and manager of Leasing and Airside Contracts at Reagan National and Dulles International airports.
This newly created position reflects the Airports Authority's growing focus on delivering a record level of capital projects and strengthening enterprise-wide coordination across its major initiatives. Meltzer will provide strategic and tactical leadership for the Airports Authority's executive operations, capital project governance and corporate strategic planning. In addition to continuing as chief of staff to the CEO, he will lead the advancement of key organizational priorities, fostering alignment among executive leadership, the board of directors and major stakeholders. Meltzer holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from The George Washington University.
"Jeremy Meltzer's exceptional management talent and deep knowledge of our business make him uniquely suited for this important new role," Potter said. "He has become a trusted adviser to our entire corporate and airport management teams, and we look forward to his continued leadership in this expanded role."
