Washington, D.C., Sept. 29, 2025 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the expansion of its Financial Services practice with the appointment of five senior professionals within the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment.
Michael Peretz joins as a Senior Advisor and Ryan Dusseault, Laura Rau, Alex Shea and Erin Zavalkoff join as Managing Directors. These appointments will deepen the anti-financial crime and payments capabilities within the Financial Services practice.

Mr. Peretz, who is based in Chicago, has more than 25 years of experience in the banking, lending and payments industries, with a focus on growth strategy, cost optimization and risk mitigation. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Executive Director and Leader of the Housing Finance practice and a Co-Leader of the U.S. Banking and Payments practice at a global business and technology consultancy focused on the financial services sector. In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Peretz will support financial services clients with implementations, business process improvement and digital transformation, focusing on strategic compliance solutions that proactively mitigate risks.
Mr. Dusseault, who is based in Washington, D.C., is an anti-money laundering ("AML") and regulatory expert, specializing in compliance-related matters involving digital assets, artificial intelligence and fintech. He joins FTI Consulting after serving 12 years at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where he focused on AML and compliance policy and wrote federal guidance on several digital assets products and services. In his role at FTI Consulting, he will guide clients through the complex regulatory environment, emerging technologies, AML and sanctions issues.
Ms. Rau, who is based in Dallas, is a compliance executive with more than two decades of experience working in highly regulated financial services roles, including most recently as the Chief Compliance Officer at a large regional bank. Ms. Rau's expertise includes leading transformative compliance initiatives for banks, nonbank financial institutions and payments businesses, as well as collaborating with court-appointed monitors under the U.S. Department of Justice and state attorneys general orders. In her role at FTI Consulting, she will help clients implement and revamp compliance programs and navigate complex enforcement actions.
Mr. Shea, who is based in New York, has nearly two decades of experience in financial crime investigations, fraud risk management, and AML compliance. His expertise includes leveraging advanced analytics and investigative tools to help organizations manage risk and improve operational efficiency. At FTI Consulting, Mr. Shea will support financial institutions, legal teams and government agencies on domestic and international matters involving forensic accounting and financial investigations, fraud risk assessments and controls enhancements, and AML compliance improvement initiatives.
Ms. Zavalkoff, who is based in Miami, has more than 20 years of experience in financial crime compliance, AML, sanctions and risk management. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Zavalkoff was the Chief Representative Officer at CitiBank, specializing in foreign exchange and cross-border payments. In her role at FTI Consulting, she will advise clients on the design and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance structures and due diligence programs, focusing on mitigating financial crime risks.
These recent appointments reflect the firm's investment in its anti-financial crime and payments offerings for clients in the financial services industry. The appointments follow the recent addition of Christopher Allen as a Senior Managing Director, as well as seven senior professionals earlier this year, within the Financial Services practice.
