Working Together for Healthy Forests

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Healthy, sustainable forests are essential to Sylvamo's business, and protecting their many benefits, from clean water and wildlife habitat to livelihoods and climate resilience, is work that cannot be done alone.

Sylvamo partners with trusted conservation organizations to scale impact, investing in the long-term health of forests and communities across its North American footprint.

These partnerships extend Sylvamo's efforts, helping turn shared goals into outcomes, all focused on conserving, enhancing and restoring forests near its operations.

Partnership Highlights

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)

  • Through a five-year partnership with NFWF, Sylvamo supports forest and river restoration projects across the northeastern United States near its Ticonderoga, New York, mill. The partnership funds science-driven conservation efforts that improve forest resilience, restore wildlife habitats and strengthen watersheds.

Arbor Day Foundation (ADF)

  • In partnership with the ADF, Sylvamo supports restoration of endangered longleaf pine forests in South Carolina, near its Eastover mill and Southeastern sourcing regions, and Washington, D.C. This work reduces erosion and heat stress while improving overall air and water quality in the region.

These partnerships reflect a simple truth: lasting conservation happens when organizations align expertise, resources and a shared commitment.

Through these efforts, Sylvamo is helping protect and strengthen forests and communities where its employees live and work as part of its commitment to responsible forest stewardship.
