The City of Fort Lauderdale is replacing the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant with the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center, a new, state-of-the-art facility, under a comprehensive agreement with the IDE-Ridgewood Project Team (Project Company). The new plant is expected to be completed in late 2026.
A portion of a new 12-inch water main that is being installed and connected to the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center is located just west of the Lofts of Palm Aire Village across from Hawkins Road. Construction on this new water main will begin on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, and is expected to be completed by mid-August 2025. Work will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
