Governor Ron DeSantis Makes Four Judicial Appointments

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announces four judicial appointments.

Johnathan Lott, of Fort Lauderdale, to serve as Judge on the Fourth District Court of Appeal

Judge Lott has served as a Circuit Court Judge for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court since 2024. Previously, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. Judge Lott fills the judicial vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Artau.

Kristina Mobley, of Green Cove Springs, to serve as Judge on the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court

Judge Mobley has served as a County Court Judge for Clay County in the Fourth Judicial Circuit since 2015. Previously she served as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Florida and her juris doctor from the University of Florida. Judge Mobley fills the judicial vacancy created by the enactment of Senate Bill 2508.

Jarred Patterson, of Port Saint Joe, to serve as Judge on the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Court

Patterson has served as the Chief Assistant State Attorney for Gulf County in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit. Previously, he served as the Chief Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida and his juris doctor from Barry University. Patterson fills the judicial vacancy created by the enactment of Senate Bill 2508.

Pascale Achille, of Fort Lauderdale, to serve as Judge on the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court

Achille has served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit since 2015. Previously, she worked as an associate for Bast Amron LLP. She earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University and her juris doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Achille fills the judicial vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Farmer.
