DENVER, CO - The City and County of Denver and project partners will host an open house Wednesday, Nov. 19, to launch the neighborhood planning process that will create a long-range vision for Burnham Yard, a 58-acre decommissioned railyard in the La Alma Lincoln Park neighborhood identified as the preferred site for a new stadium for the Denver Broncos, as well the surrounding area. The year-long process is intended to ensure the community's voices are heard and reflected in the redevelopment of the railyard.
WHAT: Kick-off Community Open House for Burnham Yard Small Area Plan
WHEN: Wednesday, November 19, drop in between 5 and 7 p.m.
WHERE: La Alma Recreation Center, 1325 W. 11th Ave., Denver, CO 80204
Attendees will have the chance to walk through a variety of stations at their own pace to share thoughts and input on the community's needs, concerns and vision for the future. City representatives and project partners will be on hand to share the latest updates on the planning process. Spanish interpreters, refreshments and children's activities will be provided.

Once adopted, the Burnham Yard Small Area Plan will inform city decision-making in and around Burnham Yard while addressing the potential impact on nearby neighborhoods. The plan will include recommendations for housing, including affordable housing, public infrastructure, parks, open spaces, childcare, grocery stores, and other amenities.
Denver's Department of Community Planning and Development is leading the planning process, in partnership with the offices of Mayor Mike Johnston and City Council Members Jamie Torres (District 3) and Flor Alvidrez (District 7).
