MOTC 2025 Investment Solicitation Convention Kicks Off

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) will host the 2025 Investment Solicitation Convention on November 19 (Wednesday), from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Taipei Garden Hotel International Conference Hall (2F).
With the theme "Expanding Transportation Investment Across Multiple Sectors - Building Shared Prosperity Together," the convention presents a wide range of opportunities across major transportation projects. A total of 60 investment projects will be introduced, representing combined business opportunities worth NT$333.9 billion, surpassing the NT$300 billion mark for the first time. This milestone reflects the MOTC's commitment to driving private-sector investment through concrete action and demonstrates the Ministry's determination to make transportation infrastructure the driving force of Taiwan's transformation nationwide.
The MOTC states that the Investment Solicitation Convention serves as a key platform connecting government and industry. This year, 14 themed exhibition booths will be set up, with professional representatives from various MOTC agencies providing in-depth explanations, business consultations, and real-time advisory to help investors explore opportunities.
In addition, five highlighted investment projects will be presented through briefings and videos, showcasing Taiwan's diverse transportation initiatives and regional development potential. These projects include Keelung City Weihai Barracks Redevelopment and BOT Project (Maritime Port Bureau, MOTC), Land Surface Rights Development Project in Linggang Section, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City (Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd.), Taipei Main Station Building Renovation and Operation Transfer Project (Taiwan Railways Corporation, Ltd.), Land Development Project on Zili Road, Kaohsiung City (Taiwan Railways Corporation, Ltd.), and Industrial Zone Development and Operation Project in the High-Speed Rail Tainan Station Special District (Railway Bureau, MOTC). The total investment value of these five highlighted projects reaches NT$35.7 billion, combining innovative development with strong return potential, and it is expected to inject fresh momentum into Taiwan's transportation sector.
To recognize outstanding private-sector partners who have long contributed to Taiwan's transportation development, the MOTC will also present the Investment Excellence Award to honor enterprises that have achieved remarkable performance in areas including, but not limited to, ports, shipping, railways, aviation, and smart transportation. The Ministry hopes this recognition will encourage more companies to engage in public-private collaboration, jointly shaping a transportation system that is both sustainable and competitive.
Event registration and detailed project information are available on the MOTC Investment Solicitation Portal (https://www.motc.gov.tw/201409050001/index). The Ministry sincerely invites business representatives from all sectors to participate in this year's convention and explore new horizons for transportation investment.
