Christian Knop, Site personnel manager Ulm, emphasised at the handover: 'Social commitment has a long tradition among our employees at HENSOLDT. It shows that we not only take responsibility at work, but also want to contribute to the region beyond our workplace. I am particularly pleased that people are so willing to donate and that together we can make projects such as supporting Radio 7 Drachenkinder possible.'
Radio 7 Drachenkinder does not collect monetary donations in the strict sense, but rather uses the funds specifically for concrete assistance such as therapeutic services or benefits in kind. This ensures that support goes where it is needed. The donations do not benefit a single organisation, but are used specifically where they are most urgently needed - so that as many children as possible in very different situations benefit from the support at the same time.
'We see ourselves as a link between people who want to help and children who need support. It is important to us that donations are used transparently and go directly to those affected - whether for aids or urgently needed therapies,' says Ursula Schuhmacher, Head of Radio 7 Drachenkinder. 'We are very grateful for your donation and your great commitment to social issues.'
