MCSO Deputies respond to Macomb Twp crash

Macomb Township, MI - Today, December 26, 2024, at approximately 5:36PM, Macomb County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) Deputies were dispatched to 23 Mile Road and Indian Pointe Drive (Heydenreich Road) in Macomb Township for a multiple vehicle crash.

A Ford Fusion was traveling west on 23 Mile Road, and allegedly, crossed the center line, striking a Buick SUV head-on. A third vehicle was also involved as a result of the crash.

The driver and sole occupant of the Fusion, a 19-year-old male from Auburn Hills, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Buick, a 62-year-old female from Oxford, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The passenger of the Buick was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the 3rd vehicle did not require medical transportation.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The MCSO investigation is ongoing.
