Experience the magic of the season with Tyler Parks and Rec
The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department is happy to host a plethora of holiday events! All the events are free and open to the public.
40th Annual Tree Lighting - Thursday, Dec. 4
The 40th Annual Tree Lighting will take place following the Tyler Rotary Christmas Parade. It will be held on the lawn of the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. Food Trucks will be available for purchase.
Holiday Lights in the Garden - Dec. 4-30
Holiday Lights in the Garden will kick off the night of Dec. 4. Enjoy the magically lit Rose Garden with plenty of photo opportunities for free until Dec. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. The Garden will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Pictures with the Grinch - Saturday, Dec. 6
Snap a picture with the Grinch on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 420 Rose Park Drive. Join us for the fourth year of Pictures with the Grinch! In addition to meeting the Grinch, attendees can enjoy hot chocolate provided by Dutch Bros of Tyler, Winter Wonderland Mini Golf on the Queen's Court, and take-home crafts. Free professional pictures are provided by Chloe Carnes Photography.
Breakfast with Santa - Saturday, Dec. 13
Hot chocolate and a warm pastry with Santa can be enjoyed at the Glass Recreation Center's Breakfast with Santa. Enjoy crafts, photo opportunities, and pictures with Santa! This event is free and will take place Saturday, Dec. 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 501 W. 32nd Street.
Holiday in the Garden and Bazaar and How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Saturday, Dec. 13
Join us for a festive day of shopping, entertainment, and holiday cheer at the 16th Annual Holiday in the Garden and Bazaar! Indulge in some holiday shopping from local businesses, free train rides, live entertainment, and more! This event is free admission and located at 420 Rose Park Drive on Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
End the night with a special screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas on the Queen's Court located at 4220 Rose Park Drive. Bring your blankets, chairs, and holiday spirits. The movie will begin at 6 p.m.
