The Haslet Fire Department is currently accepting applications for testing to become a volunteer or junior volunteer firefighter. Haslet Fire Department provides fire/rescue and EMS response to Haslet and mutual aid to surrounding cities, totaling over 100 square miles. Click here for the Application!

Doors will open at 8:00am for registration and will close at 9:00am for testing.

50 question general knowledge test - 70% passing

Physical agility test - 75' aerial ladder climb, fan carry, charged hose drag, pike pole, and sledge simulator, and 150 pound dummy carry in 8 minutes or less

Minimum Qualifications:

Volunteer Firefighter

Minimum of 18 years old and live within a 20-mile radius of the station

High School Diploma or GED certificate

Possess a valid Driver's License

Junior Firefighter - 16-17 years old, in high school, and live within an 8-mile radius of the station

Possess a valid Driver's License or ability to obtain within 3 months

Volunteer Firefighter and Junior Firefighter Qualifications

Be able to pass a background and drug test

Must be able to commit to Tuesday night and occasional weekend training
