Argentina begins to export poultry and pork to the Philippines

As a result of the coordinated work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGyP) and the National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (SENASA), together with the private sector, the Philippines authorized Argentine exports of poultry and pork meat and the extension to export beef with bone, offal and fats.

It is worth noting that during 2024 our country received two inspection visits from Philippine authorities, who verified Argentina's sanitary control system for the production of beef, pork and poultry meat.

In 2023, the Philippines imported meat and by-products for a value of over US$1.75 billion from all over the world. In addition, between January and October 2024, meat imports into the Philippines increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2023.

With this, Argentina generates opportunities for the meat industry in a market of more than 100 million inhabitants and with a growing demand.
