KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three men were indicted in separate, unrelated cases by a federal grand jury today for illegally re-entering the United States after being previously removed.
Elmer Abel Flores-Alvarez, 27, was charged in a one-count indictment with illegal reentry by a previously removed alien. The indictment charges that Flores-Alvarez had previously been removed from the United States twice - on April 6, 2018, and on October 9, 2019.
Juan Jose Esparza-Gallardo, 33, was charged in a one-count indictment with illegal reentry by a previously removed alien. The indictment charges that Esparza-Gallardo had previously been removed from the United States twice - on April 19, 2017, and on July 14, 2017.
Gilberto Javana-Zuniga, 41, was charged in a one-count indictment with illegal reentry by a previously removed alien. The indictment charges that Javana-Zuniga had previously been removed from the United States three times - on November 3, 2011, February 25, 2013, and March 8, 2013.
The charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
All three cases were investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement - Enforcement and Removal Operations.
