Santa Rosa Water Thanks You for Your Incredible Support and Creek Stewardship During Creek Week 2024

Creek Week 2024 has come and gone, and what a week it was! The Santa Rosa Water team extends a big thank you to all the members of the community who came out to our 2024 Creek Week events, including the Guided Nature Walk Along Santa Rosa Creek, the Downtown Underground Tour, the Tour de Creek Trail Bike Ride, and our Creek to Coast Cleanup Day.

Our team kept close track of the impact of Creek Week 2024, and it was a very successful year:

  • 375 members of the Santa Rosa community attended Creek Week 2024 events
  • 2,702 pounds of trash were removed from Santa Rosa creeks during Creek Week 2024 events

This display of community involvement and creek stewardship is incredibly meaningful to our team, our environment, and the birds, plants, bugs, fish, and other critters that call Santa Rosa creeks their home.

Santa Rosa Water also encourages community members to continue to keep creek stewardship front of mind beyond the yearly Creek Week festivities. Maintaining healthy, clean, and vibrant creek systems - and continuing to reap the benefits of clean drinking water and a healthier overall environment - requires year-round work.

To continue getting involved in creek stewardship, including our year-round bimonthly creek cleanups, visit SRCity.org/CreekStewardship. For more information on how daily actions in your home, yard, or business can impact creek health, and to prepare for rainy season, head to streetstocreeks.org.

Thank you again for your support and creek stewardship work during Creek Week 2024! The Santa Rosa Water team hopes to see you all streamside again sometime soon.
