Dentons, Canada's Global Law Firm, congratulates Justice McKenzie, the recipient of the 2025 Dentons-Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals (CAUFP) Scholarship. Justice, a second-year Juris Doctor candidate at Western University and founder of a successful computer-building startup, is committed to supporting fellow entrepreneurs and underrepresented founders to help strengthen the business landscape.
During his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, Justice founded the Black Pre-Law Society, an initiative aimed at creating a supportive space for Black students interested in pursuing a legal career.
Currently, Justice is involved with the Black Future Lawyers' mentoring program at Western University where he endeavours to foster a sense of community to inspire future Black lawyers to follow their ambitions with confidence. After completing law school, Justice aims to pursue a career in venture capital law, while continuing to empower others and inspire the next generation of Black leaders in law.
First announced in 2021 at the CAUFP No Boundaries Youth Summit, the Dentons-CAUFP Scholarship provides a CA$5000 renewable scholarship to a first-year law student at a Canadian law school who has an interest in business law, and has demonstrated a commitment to the Black community and academic excellence.
