Nominations for the 2026 First Lady Volunteer Awards are being accepted today through March 9, 2026.

The annual awards were started in 1975 by First Lady Bella Hammond to recognize and pay tribute to exceptional volunteers who make an extraordinary contribution to their community and state.

Nominations can be submitted online at this link. Applications are also available at the Governor's offices in Anchorage, Soldotna, and Palmer.

The First Lady Volunteer Awards ceremony and luncheon is held at the Governor's residence in Juneau in the spring.
