El Paso, Texas - Today, as part of the 50th anniversary of the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) hosted various local and state law enforcement agencies as part of the EPIC 2024 Law Enforcement Summit. These agencies, who came from various communities across the country, were able to hear what DEA can do for local law enforcement, especially through the tools and resources available through EPIC.
"EPIC's mission is DEA's mission, which is defeat the cartels and reduce drug deaths and drug-related violence," said Carrie Thompson, DEA's Intelligence Chief. "We need all our local and state partners nationwide to be here and help us with that mission."
There are plans to make the Law Enforcement Partners Summit an annual event. Law enforcement agencies interested in attending the 2025 event, should reach out to their local DEA Division or call 1-888-USE-EPIC.
