MASON COUNTY, W.Va. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) traveled to Mason County to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for Frontieras North America's facility in Point Pleasant. The site will be the first to deploy the company's patented FASForm process-a zero-waste system that converts coal into fuels, hydrogen, fertilizers, and industrial carbon products.

"Frontieras' technology is creating new opportunities for our coal industry, while reducing waste and driving innovation," Senator Capito said. "Just as important, this project strengthens America's energy security and unleashes American energy dominance by using our own abundant resources to power the future. I was proud to be on hand to help celebrate this milestone and look forward to seeing the benefits of this facility for years to come."

"Senator Capito was here today because she has been here for West Virginia's coal communities for over twenty years. She did the work in Washington that made it possible for companies like ours to build in Appalachia with confidence. Today, we broke ground. She earned the right to hold that shovel," Frontieras North America CEO Matthew McKean said.
