Greetings to participants of the 25th National Congress of Commissioners for Children’s Rights in Russian Regions

The message reads, in part:

"Your traditional meetings invariably attract public attention, convincingly demonstrating the relevance of the matters discussed and the demand in our country for the institution of commissioners for children's rights.

The agenda of the current congress, which has brought together commissioners for children's rights, representatives of relevant agencies, the media, socially oriented non-profit organisations, and volunteer organisations from many regions of Russia, focuses on a wide range of issues related to the protection of the rights and interests of the younger generation, comprehensive support for families with children, and the improvement of the relevant regulatory and legal framework and law enforcement practices. Particular attention will be paid to the families of participants and veterans of the special military operation, as well as to large, multi-child families.

It is gratifying that among your priorities is the organisation of work with teenagers who find themselves in difficult life situations. I underscore that it is exceptionally important to support such young people, to create the necessary conditions for their self-fulfilment, enabling the development of their talents and abilities in creativity, sport, science, and in other spheres. Such efforts demand not only high professional qualities from you, but also sensitivity and responsiveness."
