WASHINGTON - Today, Secretary of the Treasury Scott K.H. Bessent met with European Union Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union Maria Luis Albuquerque. The Secretary and Minister discussed issues pertaining to financial regulation and financial innovation.
Secretary Bessent emphasized that a lasting, durable peace in Ukraine remains a top priority for the Trump Administration. The Secretary affirmed the United States' firm commitment to continued positive collaboration with the European Union on sanctions, especially regarding Russia and Iran.
