AI MAGISTER: at IULM, AI becomes a practical tool for businesses

Presented the results of the European project among case histories, real applications and perspectives for digital transformation

The final event of AI MAGISTER - From Experimentation to Value, an initiative of the European Digital Innovation Hub dedicated to supporting the adoption of artificial intelligence in enterprises, was held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at theAuditorium of IULM University.

The meeting was a moment to summarize the results of the project, which has mainly accompanied small and micro enterprises in structured paths of AI adoption through training, services of Test Before Invest, technology transfer and development of concrete applications. The University contributed with speeches by Chancellor Valentina Garavaglia, Professor Guido Di Fraia, AI MAGISTER scientific coordinator for IULM and head of the IULM AI Lab, and Alessandro Fermi, Lombardy Region's Councillor for University, Research and Innovation.

As emerged during the event, the value of the project lies in its ability to transform research into operational solutions, accessible even to small-scale realities: from the optimization of decision-making processes through automated matching systems, to the development of digital training platforms and solutions based on IoT and predictive AI for security and industrial monitoring.

Ample space was devoted to the success stories developed within the project, presented by Professor Di Fraia together with the companies involved, demonstrating how collaboration between universities and the production system can accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence and generate concrete value.

At the conclusion of the event, diplomas were awarded to the students of the 17th edition of the IULM Executive Master in Social Media Marketing & Digital Communication, emphasizing the link between advanced training, technological innovation and digital skills development.
