Notification: Firefighter Funeral Procession Route Through City on Thursday, September 18th

NOTIFICATION: On Thursday, September 18, 2025, a funeral procession honoring fallen DeKalb County Master Firefighter Preston Fant will depart from Truist Park and travel through the city of Marietta.
The procession is expected to leave Truist Park at approximately 3:30 PM, traveling along Interstate 75N, N Marietta Parkway, and Whitlock Avenue. Traffic impacts in Marietta are anticipated between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes.
Master Firefighter Fant, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty, will be laid to rest during a private graveside service. Community members who wish to honor Master Firefighter Fant's service and sacrifice are welcome to view the funeral procession as it passes.
