Comedy Central Introduces a New Era of Stand-Up with 'Stand-Up Selects'

For generations of comedy fans, the discovery of a new favorite comedian has often begun on Comedy Central. The brand is now building on that legacy by creating a new stage for comedy's digital era.

Comedy Central Stand-Up Selects, a new short-form series spotlighting 14 comedians, is set to launch exclusively on the Comedy Central Stand-Up YouTube channel this fall. Taping in August and produced in partnership with Hoff Studios, the series brings together rising and established performers for a collection of original stand-up sets designed to meet comedy fans where they're watching today.

The inaugural lineup features Adam Ray, Amy Miller, Fumi Abe, Ian Edwards, Jay Jurden, Jeremiah Watkins, Jessie "Jetski" Johnson, Joey Cerone, Katherine Blanford, Leslie Liao, Mandal, Ryan Goodcase, Sammy Mowrey and Skyler Higley.

For over 30 years, Comedy Central has been the number one launchpad of new comedy stars, including Dave Chappelle, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer, John Oliver, Ali Wong, Key & Peele and more, with CC Stand Up at the heart of it.

Beginning in 2019, Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring brought that legacy into the digital era with shorter sets built for online audiences. The series featured more than 200 comedians and generated more than 143 million views across social platforms, giving performers a highly shareable showcase and fans a new way to find talent.

Stand-Up Selects picks up where that left off, pairing Comedy Central's stand-up pedigree with the reach of today's digital platforms to shine the spotlight on who's next.
