9 January 2025 - Airservices Australia and EUROCONTROL today announced a landmark agreement to implement the LARA system in Australia. LARA, which stands for Local and Regional Airspace Management System, is a EUROCONTROL's state-of-the-art software platform providing a comprehensive suite of tools for airspace management and coordination, enabling seamless collaboration between civil and military aviation actors.

The implementation of LARA in Australia is expected to begin in 2025 and is supported by EUROCONTROL's Civil-Military Cooperation Division.
